Really nice half-term break with the kids. My first time in a static caravan, and it wasn't what I expected. So much better! All was clean and comfortable. Living space was large enough to accommodate 5+ comfortably. The surrounding walks were well kept. The golf course appeared sufficiently challenging (rained whole time). Really nice, would recommend. Drive to Skegness was 45 mins.
Stayed in an exclusive lodge for a weekday break (Mon-Fri).
Very well equipped, spacious and clean.
Welcome packs were very welcome indeed, including one for our pooch!
Although near the road and railway, both not the busiest and didn't intrude.
On the quiet side, small with few facilities but enough for our needs.
Handy for Boston, Coningsby and Woodhall Spa.
Supermarkets close by and pubs in every direction!
Had great weather for early October and made use of the hot tub.
Lodge’s are very clean and tidy. The entire park is also very well looked after with nice scenery. The restaurant is very nice inside and the food is also good but very pricey.
1 thing this place would benefit from is a convenience shop, there’s supermarkets nearby but wouldn’t hurt having a one on the park.
Downside is, unless you’re a golfer there’s not much to do on the park yet it feels as though it is still in early stages, but there is a wide variety of activities to do outside of the park, Wildlife parks, Nature walks and Skegness beach is 30 min away.
I would visit again.
Bedroom was very clean and amenities were good however; shower, even on the lowest setting took your skin off. The restaurant food was pretty terrible. Steak was extremely gristley. Hunters chicken was very dry. Buffet breakfast was truly awful. £8.95 each and my wife and I didn't even bother to eat it. Most hot plates were completely empty and the food that was left was tasteless, dry and cold. Not worth the £8.95. Went to a local restaurant and spent £10 each and was far, far superior. Only saving grace to terrible food was energetic and friendly staff.
Very nice park
Still under construction our stay was not hindered by this
Beautiful 2 bed accessible lodge well planned except I would not like to stay if 6 people were sharing as sofa in lounge was also a double bed. Staff all very friendly, nothing too much trouble
Had a drink in the bar every night and ate in Restaurant twice, lovely meals presented well and cooked to perfection, great chef, my steak was as I asked for. Will definitely come again perhaps when site is finished
The golf course is not well kept making each hit completely different. The green is patchy and as soon as the ball goes out of the farewell it's difficult to find again due to areas not being kept well and the ball goes off in different directions due to the uneven surfaces. The putting green wasn't well kept and the ground was uneven also. The course has gone downhill dramatically since the new management takeover. Disappointed.
I just get reguarly stuck here in the traffic lights over the bridge so Google wants a review. Have 5* makes no odds to me.
Also, is it true that if I bring a goat to stay with me in one of the caravans at Easter I get 40% off?
Me and two friends turned up to use the driving range, it was fairly busy so we waited at the bar for a booth on the range, spending roughly £40 before even hiring a golf club. After half an hour of waiting we got one booth and all three of us shared it. We hired clubs and bought 100 balls and began playing. After roughly 15 minutes, and 40 balls one of us hit the roof of the range, a common mistake especially for people who are new to the sport, yet to our amaze a few minutes later a member of staff came and asked us to leave due to complaints from another guest about us hitting the roof. Thoroughly disappointed, no refund offered and highly doubtful we will return to another Away Resorts range again after this. £50 down the drain and a wasted trip.
